Spoken Word & Poetry

I have been writing and performing spoken word since 2011, however became really involved in the National spoken word community in 2014 when I represented Regina, SK at the Canadian Individual Poetry Slam (CIPS). Since then, I’ve competed multiple times at CIPS, featured or performed at a number of spoken word events around Canada, and been a part of the local Northwords NWT festival in Yellowknife.

I have self-published three short collections of poetry (generally referred to as chapbooks):

  • Peddling Love & Change (2013)
  • Save Our Selves and Other Poems (2015)
  • Love & Other Shit (2017)

My poetry performances have included just some of the following:

  • May 9th – 13th 2017 – Ensemble Poet – Saskatoon Poetic Arts Festival – Saskatoon, SK
    • multiple performances
    • collaboration with other poets
  • April 27th – 29th 2016 – Poet – Canadian Individual Poetry Slam – Vancouver, BC
